Brown Line on A♠
Speaking of music … For some real music, try this:
The band is the Orchestre Revolutionnaire et Romantique, which is a period-instruments orchestra conducted by John Eliot Gardner. I heard them in Chicago in early March, at what was one of the last live concerts before the country was shut down. They were magnificent.
In case you were wondering, the instruments are all of the sort that were played in Beethoven’s day: the strings are strung with gut (or nylon, actually) rather than steel; the brass are valveless; the winds are open-holed rather than keyed. It makes for a rougher sound that, I think, gives the music character. I hope you enjoy it.

Bravissimo! I fell in love with this symphony when I was fifteen years old and have loved it ever since.
JEG got the tempo just right. Few things foul up a Beethoven symphony worse than taking it too slowly.

Yes! Gardiner knows what he does and so does the orchestra. Well done! Beethoven in first line…
