The Suspect (1944) – Charles Laughton

Last night Linda and I watched a top-notch British film from 1944 called The Suspect with Charles Laughton, a switch on the “evil guy murders wife to be with younger woman, and you wonder how he’ll get caught” trope. Laughton was one of the great actors, and his lead character here is nothing at all like his Captain Bligh. Recommended and available for free in YouTube.
