Update, 6/18: I had no idea this would become popular. I am a nobody who had an idea and did this in one take on a laptop while listening to the lyrics in headphones. All criticisms of my singing voice are correct.
This is… okay, this is terrible. But if you polished up the lyrics, and recorded something beside the karaoke music track, and found a vocalist who had the range… then it would be an entirely different video. Also, goes on for too long, but as a parody of Lightfoot’s ballad, that’s pretty much required.
